There are many types of artificial intelligence (AI), including narrow AI, general AI, super AI, reactive machines, and more. 
Narrow AI
  • Also known as weak AI, this type of AI is designed to perform specific tasks. It cannot learn independently. 
  • Narrow AI is one of the most common types of AI. 
Artificial general intelligence (AGI)
  • This type of AI is designed to learn, think, and perform at similar levels to humans. 
  • AGI can match or surpass human abilities across a wide range of cognitive tasks. 
Artificial superintelligence (ASI)
  • This type of AI has intellect far beyond human intelligence. 
  • ASI is said to possess capabilities superior to those of humans for dealing with every type of task and problem. 
Reactive machines 
  • This type of AI does not store memories or use past experiences to determine future actions.
  • It only works with existing data.
Limited memory AI 
  • This type of AI can store knowledge and use it to learn and train for future tasks.
Self-aware AI 
  • This type of AI can recognize others' emotions, plus has sense of self and human-level intelligence.
Machine learning 
  • This type of AI focuses on making computers learn automatically. It finds rules or patterns by analyzing large amounts of data.
Deep learning 
  • This type of AI replicates the neural circuits of the human brain.
